MadGammon - this is a real revolution in the game Backgammon!
The rules of these games are basically the same, but now you can move any number of checkers at once. This innovation makes the game easier, more dynamic and more interesting.
All checkers that are on one point of the game board are stacked on top of each other in one stack.
Each stack belongs to the player who owns his top checker.
White makes the first move, then makes the move Black, and so on.
The dices show the number of moves and their distance for one player game turn.
One move allows you to move one stack forward one distance.
If the numbers of dices are different, in one game turn the player can make 2 moves.
If these numbers are the same, in one game turn the player can make 4 moves.
In either case, the player must make the maximum number of moves in one game turn.
If you can only make one move out of two, then the larger displacement has priority over a smaller one.
You can move any upper part of the stack, leaving the bottom part in place.
You can put the stack on top of any other stack.
In this case, the bottom stack is captured.
As a result of the game turn it is forbidden to capture the last stack of the opponent.
This is allowed only in the process of making intermediate moves.
The object of the game is move all your checkers into your own home board and then bear them off.
The player's home board is the last 6 points of the game board at the end of the player's stack path.
You can bear off the stack from the game board if all player stacks are in his home board.
If the player has brought all his stacks off the game board, then the opponent can make only one last move.
The winner is the one who brought out a larger number of checkers from the game board.
Game controls.
On the Menu screen, select your color and your opponent.
To do this, use the buttons with angle brackets.
An opponent may be another Human or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
AI 2 plays stronger than AI 1.
Then start the New Game, or Continue the old game.
You will be taken to the Game screen.
The button on the upper right allows you to select one of several game board layouts.
Vertical arrows on the right bar allow you to resize stacks.
Click the Roll button, the dice will drop out and the points of all the stacks that can be moved will be highlighted.
Click on one such stack, the points on which this stack can move will be highlighted.
To bear off a stack from the game board, click on a special bar near your house.
If you want to move only a part of the stack, use the area of the arrows on the right bar.
Any movement can be Undo.
At the end of your turn, click the Roll button again (or the End button if game is over).
If during the game you went to the Menu and changed the strength of the AI, then you have to start a New Game.
However, if you click the Continue game button, then the AI strength will restore the old value.
